October Beauty Bests

blog1-1

I’m a bit of a sucker for beauty products. Ok, fine – I’m a huge sucker for beauty products. Here are some of my beauty and make-up bests for this month.

smashbox primer

1. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

The ultimate in primers. It makes your skin feel silky smooth and practically poreless. I’ve tried a couple of others over the years (like I said, sucker for beauty products) but Smashbox, your Photo Finish has my heart. This is one of my make-up bag essentials – if you haven’t tried it you really should! Apply it under your foundation to increase longevity.

lulu and marula

2. Lulu & Marula Balancing Cleansing Balm

Not only am I a sucker for beauty products, but natural products in pretty packaging? Goner. This local lovely is gorgeous inside and out and smells heavenly. Honestly, every time I use it I feel like I’m at the spa. It is a solid balm that melts into an oil at application but I can attest – no oiliness to be found after removal with a damp warm cloth. Just soft, silky, incredible skin. Often when my skin’s feeling quite dry and washed-out I’ll leave it on for a couple of minutes – the resulting softness is incredible.

botany lip butter

3. Botany Lab Lip Butter in Roman Chamomile

I leave this lil guy on my desk for a quick lip refresh during the day and every time I use it is such a treat. It is the perfect size to pop in your bag for kissable lippies. Another lovely local product it’s handmade by Rondavel in the KZN Midlands and is my new go-to lip product.

4. Carolina Herrera Rosé 212 VIP EDP

This was a gift from the hubby (I love rosé, roses and pink so he did well) and my first Carolina Herrera scent. It has very quickly made its way to the front of my perfume collection (I like to try new scents, life is short!) and along with its perfectly stunning packaging the feminine yet fresh scent lasts the whole day. Love!
